Fovera is the compliance platform behind bakeries and food producers like Bramble Bakes — an app that takes a recipe from ingredient list to an approved, allergen-checked label without a spreadsheet or a food-safety consultant in the loop. We designed and built the mobile app end to end.
The Challenge
Allergen and nutrition compliance in food production is normally tracked across spreadsheets, supplier spec sheets, and someone’s memory of what changed in the last recipe revision. A single missed allergen note is a recall risk, and the review process that catches it is slow enough that recipes sit blocked for days. The brief was to put that whole check — ingredient by ingredient — on a phone, backed by AI rather than a manual read-through.
What We Built
- A home dashboard that surfaces active products, recipes still in review, open compliance warnings, and remaining AI credits the moment the app opens, so nothing waits to be discovered.
- A product list where every item carries its own allergen tags and a clear status — active, in review, or blocked — instead of a compliance spreadsheet nobody has open.
- Fovera AI, an assistant that checks a proposed ingredient against a recipe’s existing allergen profile, flags a conflict in plain language, and suggests a compliant substitute on request.
- A recipe-costing flow that re-runs automatically the moment an ingredient changes, so a substitution never leaves the cost sheet out of date.
